 Zarah’s practice is focused on all areas of law that touch on property including real estate, municipal law and wills & estates.
Zarah graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University with an honours bachelor of arts & science degree in psychology in 1993 and went on to earn a law degree from Dalhousie University in 1996, where she graduated at the top of her class. She spent a number of years providing corporate, commercial, employment, family and intellectual property advice to clients in Canada and the Czech Republic.
Zarah is committed to making the intricacies of law accessible and understandable to non-lawyers. She taught the Business Law Section of the Ontario Bar Admission Course for a number of years, and conducts bi-yearly workshops on estate planning for Canadian Forces Base Borden employees. She writes a monthly column on Law and Communication issues for Women with Vision Business Magazine and is a contributor to CondoForum the Canadian Condominium Institute’s quarterly magazine. Zarah is a member of the Barrie Real Estate Lawyer’s Association (BRELA), the Canadian Bar Association and BNI (Networking at Noon).
Zarah recently joined the governance board of Habitat for Humanity – Huronia. She is a long-time theatre supporter, including being a past board member and stage manager for Theatre Collingwood, a professional theatre company. She is a big sister with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of South Georgian Bay and is a member of her firm’s running team, the BRBs.
