Joanne practices in the areas of corporate/commercial law and real estate (commercial and residential). She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1990 with degrees in both Political Science and Criminology and in 1993 with an LLB. Joanne’s practice includes advising businesses and institutions with respect to commercial law matters, including incorporation, commercial finance, buying and selling businesses, franchising, commercial leasing, commercial agreements, corporate reorganizations, privacy law and real estate acquisition and sales.
Joanne is also actively involved in the community. She has taught courses for both Georgian College and the Simcoe County Board of Education. She speaks to various organizations several times a year on relevant corporate/commercial issues and is also the Legal Consultant at the Greater Barrie Business Enterprise Centre. Joanne is a past President of a local chapter of Business Networking International and past Vice-President of the Barrie Food Bank. Currently, she is a member of WON (Women Owners Network) and Vice-Presidentof the United Way of Greater Simcoe County.
